Palm sugar is the most popular sugar in Asian cuisine. Jeeny's Palm sugar is extracted from 100% natural juice of the Javanese borassus palm and packed in rolls. Use Jeeny's Gula Djawa (Palm sugar) to prepare Filipino rice cakes (malagkit biko), putu cake (rice flour cake), black sticky rice, puddings and many other desserts. Palm sugar tastes pleasantly soft, a little caramelised and less sweet than white or brown cane sugar. Jeeny's Gula Palm Sugar is also excellent for refining boemboes (Indonesian spice pastes) and for preparing tempeh marinades.
