This marinated pork belly is an absolute must for any Korean BBQ lover. It's a quick and easy recipe that delivers delicious, flavorful meat with a perfect balance of spicy and sweet.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoon Chilli Paste Gochujang
- 2 teaspoons Hot Red Pepper Powder
- 2 teaspoons Mirin Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Brown Rice Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 1 teaspoon Thin Soy Sauce Superior
450 g pork belly, cut into desired size
6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons plum syrup
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 medium onion, sliced
3 spring onions, roughly chopped
Preparation method for Marinated pork belly
1. Begin by finely chopping the garlic, onion, and spring onions. Make sure the onion is sliced thinly, and the spring onions are roughly chopped.
2. In a large bowl, mix the gochujang, gochugaru, garlic powder, soy sauce, sugar, mirin, plum syrup, rice vinegar, black pepper, and sesame oil. Stir everything well until the sugar is completely dissolved and you have a smooth marinade.
3. Add the chopped garlic, onion, and spring onions to the marinade and mix well.
4. Cut the pork belly into your desired size and add it to the marinade. Make sure each piece of meat is well coated with the marinade.
5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the marinated pork belly for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight for the best flavor.
6. Take the marinated pork belly out of the fridge and grill or cook it on your Korean BBQ until the meat is nicely cooked and has a beautiful color.
7. Serve the marinated pork belly immediately and enjoy the delicious, spicy-sweet flavor!
