Chicken Adobo is a Filipino national dish and Filipinos love it. It is very tasty where the chicken is simmered with lots of garlic.

Ingredients
- 5 tablespoon Peanut Oil
- 0,5 teaspoon Black Pepper (Whole)
- 1 cup Soy Sauce
- 240 ml Cane Vinegar
8 Chicken legs (2 per person)
1 cup Water
0.5 cup Cane sugar
Salt & pepper to taste
Preparation method for Chicken Adobo
- Heat about 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat, lightly brown the chicken, then remove from the pan and drain.
- Add the garlic, pepper, and bay leaves to the same pan and sauté until flavors develop. Add water and soy sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Add the chicken and vinegar to the pan and simmer for another 3-5 minutes. Do not cover to allow the vinegar smell to dissipate.
- Then turn the heat down, cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Once the chicken is cooked, season with salt and pepper.
Serve tip
Serve the chicken Adobo with steamed rice!
