They don't call these cute wonton's Money Bags for nothing. These luxury snacks are mainly made and eaten around Chinese New Year and symbolize prosperity and a happy life. We find them especially delicious! The filling of minced meat and shrimp goes perfectly with the Thai flavors of coriander and soy sauce. Delicious crispy bites for a party or just because you can!

Ingredients
- 2 tsp Thin Soy Sauce Formula A (Healthy Boy)
- 1/2 tsp White Pepper Powder
- as a dip Sweet & Sour Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Peanut Oil
- as a dip Sweet Chilli Sauce (for Chicken)
Spring onions sliced in strips
1 tl Coriander root diced
75 g Prawns minced
300 g Minced meat
2 tsp carrots: shredded
2 tsp sweet corn
15 Wonton sheets defrosted
Preparation method for Money Bag Wonton's
- Dip the spring onions in hot water and rip the lengthwise so you are left with long small strips. Leave aside as you will need these later to close your moneybags with.
- Mix the prawns with the minced meat and add coriander, carrots, sweet corn, soy sauce and white pepper. Mix well.
- Get a wonton sheet and scoop ½ tablespoon of the filling on top. Fold the wonton sheet closed so that you are left with a little bag. Tie the bag closed by using one of the spring onion strips.
- Heat the oil in a wok on a medium heat. As soon as the oil is hot enough (roughly 175 degrees), fry the moneybags until golden brown. To test whether the oil is hot enough you can hold a wooden chopsticks in the oil. If small bubbles form around the point of the chopstick the oil is hot enough.
- After removing the moneybags from the hot when golden brown, leave to drip and cool down on a piece of kitchen paper. Repeat this procedure for all of the moneybags.
Serve tip
Sweet and sour sauce or sweet chilli sauce are a great accompaniment to the moneybags.
