Sweet and sour chicken, or Koe Low Kai, we've all eaten at the local Chinese restaurant, but you can also make it yourself very easily! In this easy-to-prepare sweet and sour chicken dish, you combine chicken breast cubes with the sweetness of pineapple and bell bell pepper and the acidity of a little vinegar and tomato. The result is a delicious and colorful sweet and sour chicken. Serve the dish with Basmati rice to make it a delicious evening meal. By the way, it is also an ideal dish to make in larger quantities for a party, for example. You can also serve it very well with French bread. Treats guaranteed!

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Crushed Chillies Extra Hot
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce Gluten Free
- 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce (Healthy Boy)
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil
400 g Chicken breast, diced
1 Onion, chopped
1 Garlic clove
1 red bell bell pepper
250 ml Tomato Frito
1 can of pineapple (200 g)
250 g fine garden peas
Preparation method for sweet and sour chicken
- Cut the chicken breast into equal-sized cubes, chop the onion, press the garlic and also cut the pepper into nice, equal-sized cubes.
- Heat a dash of oil in a wok and sauté the onion in it. Then add the chicken breast, garlic and sambal and sauté.
- Now add the soy sauce, vinegar, ginger syrup, tomato frito, pineapple juice and pineapple pieces. Now simmer on a low flame for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes add the peas and let simmer for another 5 minutes.
- In the meantime, cook the basmati rice until soft (according to package instructions or in the rice cooker).
- Serve the sweet and sour chicken with the rice, a fresh cucumber salad, and crunchy crackers! Bon appetit!
