These spareribs owe their sweet taste to the Longan fruit processed in the sauce. The Longan is a tropical fruit and is the sweeter sister of the lychee. Added to the sweet flavor are garlic, ginger, yellow chili and honey, among others, to get this sweet, yet spicy flavor. The handy thing about these spare ribs is that you can also make them in the oven, so you can basically make them anytime. A recipe to lick your fingers at!
