Trassie is an Indonesian shrimp paste made from fermented shrimp, which is then dried and pressed into manageable blocks. The golden brown Jeeny's Trassie Shrimp Pasta Baked has a powerful fish flavour and is used to season numerous dishes. This trassie is similar to fish sauce in Thailand. Use the paste to refine nasi dishes, make sambal trassie (chilli paste), prepare gado gado (Indonesian vegetable salad) and rujak (spicy fruit salad).
